## About
Somali readers at home and in the diaspora following daily news coverage.

Caasimada Online publishes news in Somali with an English edition, organised into Wararka (news), Caalamka (world), Ra'yiga (opinion) and Xulka (featured) sections and a Somaliland page. Stories on the front page deal with political and military developments in Somalia, relations with Ethiopia and Eritrea and wider international news. Each story carries a byline, a date and a short summary. Some of the pages describe the state of fighting in Somalia and the surrounding region, while others report on diplomacy and recognition issues involving Somaliland. Readers can sign in, search, and follow the site on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X and Youtube.
