## About
An Ethiopian news site publishing reporting and opinion for readers at home and abroad.

Mereja is an English-language news website that follows Ethiopia and the conflicts around it. The homepage is a running list of dated stories, bylined to Yonas Mikael, on fighting in the north, parliament and cabinet changes, food shortages, trade and the country's relations with Eritrea. Some items also report on events in Yemen and the Red Sea. Headlines are written as full sentences and credit sources such as AFP, DW or local residents.

The menu links to Mereja TV, a forum, an Amharic section, a contact page and an Advertise page, so the site sells ads directly. Its ads.txt file lists 53 ad systems.
