## About
An Arabic news site reporting on Mauritania and the wider Saharan region.

Sahara Medias is an Arabic-language news site focused on Mauritania and the Sahara region. News is organised by area, covering Mauritania, the Arab Maghreb, the Sahel, Africa and the world, with further sections for economy, analyses, reports, portraits, interviews, opinion, society, local news, diaspora, students, files, health, sport, science and technology, and culture and art. The brand also runs Sahara Medias TV, a podcast, a live stream and a radio service, and links to Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube and Telegram.

The front page during the visit followed the resignation and reappointment of the Mauritanian government, Moroccan royal and election news, the military situation in Kidal in Mali, fisheries agreements with Europe and weather forecasts for Trarza and Nouakchott. A 24/24 label marks round-the-clock updates.
