It sits alongside Kaspersky's wider cybersecurity business, which serves home users, small businesses, medium businesses and enterprises with products including endpoint security, extended detection and response (XDR), industrial cybersecurity, IoT and embedded security and fraud prevention, plus services such as managed detection and response, incident response and security awareness training.

Kaspersky traces its history to 1989, when Eugene Kaspersky's own computer was infected by the Cascade virus, and the company was established on June 26, 1997, later opening offices in Japan, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and China as part of its international expansion. It describes itself today as a team of over 6,000 professionals with a nearly 30-year track record in the industry.
