Heute.at publishes current news around the clock on politics, sport, celebrity, business and entertainment scenes, alongside an e-paper, property and jobs listings, a video platform called NewsFlix, and reader-submitted reports. Sections cover Austria, climate and environment, the war in the Middle East, Germany, traffic updates, weather, a horoscope and food coverage.

Advertising named on the site includes classified word ads, content marketing produced by its in-house agency HNC, digital display advertising and Sonderwerbeformen (special ad formats), NewsFlix platform advertising, out-of-home advertising, and print display advertising. Its ads.txt file lists 73 ad systems, 37 of them direct, and names sales houses including NZZ Media Solutions AG, Seedtag Advertising SL, Netpoint Media GmbH and audienzz.
