Microsoft Edge is a web browser built around Copilot, an AI assistant that uses the context of open tabs to compare options, explain what matters and complete tasks. On macOS it supports Spotlight search, Touch ID and trackpad gestures, and it includes a Copilot Vision feature that can see the screen to scan, analyze and offer suggestions.
Other built-in tools include a scareware blocker, an image generator for turning words into visuals, one-click tab organization, and an AI theme generator. Performance features include energy saver, startup boost and sleeping tabs, with energy saver offering an average of 25 more minutes of battery life.
