Nigeria Bans the Use of Foreign Models and Voiceover Artists in Advertising

“In a global first, the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria has announced that it will ban the appearance of foreign models in “all advertisements, advertising, and marketing communications materials.” The ban includes all non-Nigerian models and voiceover artists and is part of the Nigerian government’s efforts to “develop local talent” and will start in October of this year.”
