L'Indépendant is a French-language news site covering the Pyrénées-Orientales, including Perpignan and Catalogne, and the Aude, including Narbonne and Carcassonne, with sections on faits divers, politics, sport, leisure and podcasts, plus property and legal listings, death notices and an events agenda covering festivals, exhibitions and traditions across the region, alongside topics such as viticulture, rugby league and rugby union clubs USAP and Dragons Catalans, and a real-time traffic information service for the region.

Its ads.txt file lists 60 ad systems, with 22 sold directly and 49 through resellers, and sales are handled in part by 366 SAS.
