WeatherBug provides current and extended local and national weather forecasts, live weather radar, temperature, lightning tracking, hurricane tracking, air quality and pollen count data, plus news and video, operated by GroundTruth. Sections cover forecasts, maps, alerts, life, news and videos, cameras and air quality, with coverage spanning US states.

WeatherBug for Advertisers describes reaching more than 15 million users, with the overlap against its main competitor's app users put at 1 million, leaving about 14 million WeatherBug users who do not use that competitor app. Targeting options include weather-triggering across more than 400 variables, alongside audience, geographic, demographic and day-parting targeting. Named ad formats include BrandWraps, Featured Sponsorship, Pre-Roll, Rich Media and Watch Banners, alongside a half-page ad and a medium rectangle ad sold by impression through auction, and a sponsored article sold through negotiation. Its ads.txt file lists 65 ad system lines, made up of 32 direct entries and 50 reseller entries.
