Sporcle publishes trivia quizzes across categories including sports, geography, music, movies, television, history, literature, language, science, gaming, entertainment and religion, alongside daily quizzes, badges, playlists, tournaments, leaderboards and community-created content. It also runs live events through Showdown Live, Trivia Bingo, SporcleCon and in-person pub trivia nights, including private events and theme nights.

Advertising formats include newsletter sponsorships through the Brain Brew Newsletter, branded contests, category sponsorships, featured or branded quizzes, live pub quiz sponsorships, programmatic display and custom in-quiz messaging called Snark, across email and web channels. Sales run through Tradecraft LLC (Media Tradecraft), Optima Network, PubVenturesMedia and Insticator, Inc. Its ads.txt file lists 103 ad system lines, with 48 direct and 86 reseller entries.
