Pitchfork is launching a craft beer site, October, with an advertiser

The music criticism institution Pitchfork is getting into craft beer. The Condé Nast-owned publication partnered with ZX Ventures, a venture capital firm owned by AB-InBev, to create October, a site about beer that launched Tuesday. While Pitchfork has been selling native advertising and branded content for years, October is the first standalone editorial brand it has ever launched, the latest in a trend of food- and drink-focused editorial brands publishers have created expressly for advertising partners.
